Day1, Cairo
Arrive in Cairo Airport. Our representative will meet and assist you. You will be transferred to your hotel and meet your tour leader who will brief you about the tour package, free evening, overnight at your hotel.
Day2, Cairo
After breakfast, our friendly guide will accompany you to the awe-inspiring Great Pyramids of Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre) and Mycerinus (Menkaure) and Sphinx in Giza. The pyramids are part of a huge mortuary temple complex whose purpose was to keep the Pharaohs alive in the afterlife.
Then to Sakkara to see the unique step pyramid of Zoser, This pyramid is the unique prototype for Old Kingdom Pyramids. After a day of seeing 4500 year old ancient structures you will take the night seating train up the Nile valley to Luxor
Day3, Luxor
Arrive in Luxor, tour the East Bank of Luxor. Here you will experience the massive Karnak temple and historic Luxor temple. Karnak temple is actually a gigantic temple complex which is over 3500 years old and dedicated to the greatly powerful Ram Headed god Amun.
Luxor temple is an important temple in that it was dedicated to 3 gods; Amun, his wife Mut and his son Khons. Together these temples and gods are key players into the great Opet Festival which was held during the flood season, overnight at your hotel in Luxor.
Day4, Luxor
After breakfast, tour the West Bank of Luxor. Start your tour off with the world famous Valley of the Kings where you can enter some of the incredible tombs of the New Kingdom Pharoahs, like King Tutankhamun, then onto the Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir al-Bahri).
This is the mortuary temple of the only Pharonic Queen of Egypt with very unusual architecture. And finish with the great Colossi of Memnon, the last remains of Amenophis III's temple, free evening at your leisure, and overnight at your hotel in Luxor.
Day5 Luxor
After breakfast we drive inland to tour Denderah Temple, One among the best preserved in Egypt, this temple as a sight to hold with the massive stones & underground passages. We will tour Abydos as well before we head back to Luxor We'll travel to Denderah to visit the Temple of Hathor, one of the best-preserved in all of Egypt, and also one of the most important. In the ancient beliefs, Hathor was the consort of the god of daylight, ruler of the west, and protector or the underworld. In the manner of wise desert wayfarers, we'll leave before dawn to take advantage of cool temperatures. Our air-conditioned van will take us through timeless Nile side villages, where life revolves around the irrigation and harvest of crops. Finally, we'll reach the temple precincts. We'll take note of the unusually deep tombs, and pass under the celebrated Zodiac, in a chapel dedicated to Osiris. (Denderah is the traditional site of his rebirth.) Back to Luxor and overnight at your hotel.
Day6, Luxor
Free day at your leisure till the evening, take the train back to Cairo.
Day7, Cairo
Arrive in Cairo; be transferred to your hotel, after breakfast, a guided visit of the Egyptian Museum that houses more than 10,000 relics of ancient Egypt. There you can see the famous Tutankhamen Gallery and the Royal Mummies.
A tour of the old city is a very nice way to say good-bye to Egypt. You will see Coptic Cairo, the Hanging Church, the cave church, Islamic Cairo, Saladin Citadel, Mohammed Ali Mosque, the old Cairo bazaar (Khan El Khalili) and El Fishawy Coffee Shop. Overnight at your hotel
Day8, Baharya
After breakfast at 7:00A.M Drive southwest till we reach Bahariya Oasis. Where you can enjoy the plentiful Wildlife, especially for birds such as wheatears; for crops including dates, olives, apricots...... Bawiti is the largest village in the Oasis; its picturesque hillside quarter overlooks lush palm groves irrigated by a natural spring hewn from the rock in Roman times which gushes water at 30 degree, also nearby. The Oasis is also famous for its mineral and sulfur springs, enjoy the beauty of the Desert passing the sand Dunes, lunch at Local Restaurant. Drive to your Hotel. Visit Bir El Beshmo. P.M Enjoy the Beauty of the Sunset at the English house, the highest point in the Oasis. Overnight at your Hotel in Bahariya Oasis.
Day9, The White Desert
After the breakfast at your Hotel, we will drive to the White Desert to see the impressive limestone formations where the forces of erosion have created fantastic natural rock sculptures. The richness and variety of Egyptian landscape is endless. At least if you ever decide to visit the White Desert, that's the message you'll get. It is a vast stretch of land in the Western Desert that borders Baharia Oasis to the north and Al-Farafra to the south. The snow-white desert is actually made of chalk that has been exposed for years to what geologists call "differential weathering," the erosion of soft particles that results in eerie protrusions of hard rock. This explains the very beautiful forms that now fill the White Desert including shapes like domes, minarets, castles, towers and so forth. The destination has proved a great attraction to low-budget travelers who camp in the few oases, watch the fauna and flora and enjoy the mild winter weather. Then visit the Black Mountain & the Crystal Mountain, dinner and overnight at your Camp in the White Desert.
Day10, Oasis- Cairo
Wake up at the sunrise to be a witness of the amazing beauty of the white desert, have your breakfast and then drive back to Cairo, arrive in Cairo, overnight at your hotel
Day11, Cairo - Flight back.
After breakfast the trip will end in Cairo where it began. Transfer to the airport. Take your memories and adventure with you on the flight home. |
