Day1, Cairo
Arrive in Cairo Airport, Our representative will meet and assist you. You will be transferred to your hotel and meet your tour leader who will brief you about the tour package, free evening, overnight at your hotel.
Day2, Cairo
After breakfast, our friendly guide will accompany you to the awe-inspiring Great Pyramids of Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre) and Mycerinus (Menkaure) and Sphinx in Giza. The pyramids are part of a huge mortuary temple complex whose purpose was to keep the Pharaohs alive in the afterlife, then to Sakkara to see the unique step pyramid of Zoser. This pyramid is the unique prototype for Old Kingdom Pyramids. After a day of seeing 4500 year old ancient structures you will catch the seating first class train to Aswan.
Day3, Aswan
Arrive in Aswan. Our representative will meet and transfer you to your Nile Cruise, beginning the day with a morning tour of the famous High Dam of Aswan. The High Dam was completed in 1971 and created Lake Nasser. The creation of the dam made it necessary to relocate several famous monuments.
Next you will visit the romantic Temple of Philae and the Unfinished Obelisk. The Philae Temple is a majestic Greco-Roman Egyptian temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, the goddess of love, overnight on your cruise.
Day4, Kom-ombo and Edfu
Enjoy traveling down the fertile bank of the Nile to visit Kom-Ombo and Edfu Temples, Kom Ombo is a Dual Greco-Roman Egyptian Temple dedicated to the Evil Crocodile god Sobek and the Good Falcon god Haroeris, which stands overseeing the Nile and had sacred crocodiles kept as pets.
The city of Edfu contains the famous Temple of Horus. The 2000 year old Temple was dedicated to the Son of Osiris, Horus the Falcon Headed God, and is the best preserved and most complete temple in Egypt. Continue down the Nile to the city of Luxor, overnight on the Cruise.
Day5, Luxor
After breakfast, we will arrive in Luxor and tour the East Bank of Luxor. Here you will experience the massive Karnak temple and historic Luxor temple. Karnak temple is actually a gigantic temple complex which is over 3500 years old and dedicated the greatly powerful Ram Headed god Amun.
Luxor temple is an important temple in that it was dedicated to 3 gods; Amun, his wife Mut and his son Khons. Together these temples and gods are key players into great Opet Festival which was held during the flood season, overnight on the Cruise.
Day6, Luxor
After breakfast, tour the West Bank of Luxor. Start your tour off with the world famous Valley of the Kings where you can enter some of the incredible tombs of the New Kingdom Pharaohs, like King Tutankhamen, then onto the Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir al-Bahri). This is the mortuary temple of the only Pharonic Queen of Egypt with very unusual architecture. And finish with the great Colossi of Memnon, the last remains of Amenophis III's temple. Then catch the seating first class train back to Cairo.
Day7, Dahab
Arrive in Cairo around 06:30 am, and have some rest in one of the hostels in down town for a few hours till the bus time to Dahab at 12:00 noon.
Arrive in Dahab in the evening; the rest of the day is free to spend at your leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Dahab
Day8, Dahab
Free day at your leisure to do whatever you like from the water activities, (swimming, diving, snorkeling, etc) overnight in the hotel.
Day9, Dahab.
Here another free day at your leisure for more relaxing and enjoying with the pure nature of Dahab overnight at your hotel.
Day10, Dahab, St, Catherine.
Anther free day at your leisure, till 10:30 pm when you will head to St, Catherine monastery, where we will spend the night climbing the mountain to watch the sunrise from up there
Day11, St, Catherine, Cairo.
You will climb the mountain till its peak, watch the sunrise from the highest top in Egypt, then descend to visit the Monastery, and then head back to Cairo, you will arrive in Cairo around 10:30 pm, and you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo, overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
Day12, Cairo
After breakfast, it'll be the right time for the last tour in Egypt; you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses more than 10,000 relics of ancient Egypt. There you can see the famous Tutankhamen Gallery and the Royal Mummies.
A tour of the old city is a very nice way to say good-bye to Egypt. You will see the Coptic Cairo, the Hanging Church, the Cave church where you will hear about one of the amazing miracles in the human being history! That happened when the Christians moved a mountain by the power of Faith and prays. The Islamic Cairo, Saladin Citadel, Mohammed Ali Mosque, the old Cairo bazaar (Khan El Khalili) and El-Fishawey coffee shop. The last night in Egypt will be free for you to walk around the city, overnight at your hotel.
Day13, Cairo, Fly back home.
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for the final departure. |
