Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Tour Orientation
You'll land at Cairo Airport, where a representative will meet you to handle customs and immigration. After that, you will be transferred to your hotel for a briefing with your tour guide, who'll walk you through the package details.
Day 2: Holy Family Sites in Cairo & Nile Felucca Ride
Start in Mostord to see where Jesus caused a water spring to flow, then head to Matarya for St. Mary's tree. From there, you'll go to Zeitoun to visit St. Mary's church, followed by Old Cairo to see the cave at St. Sergius Church where the Family stayed. Stop at St. Mary's monastery in Maadi on the Nile River, the point where they began their journey south. You'll take a felucca ride on the Nile before heading back to your hotel.
Day 3: Alexandria Christian Heritage Tour
After breakfast, travel to Alexandria to visit St. Mark Cathedral and other Coptic churches. The rest of your time there is free to spend walking around and exploring whatever interests you before returning to your hotel.
Day 4: Holy Family Sites – Sakha & Samannoud
After breakfast, you'll head to Sakha to visit the Virgin Mary church, then continue to Samannoud for the Martyr Abanob Church. Next is Tal Basta, where Jesus caused a water spring to flow, and idols crumbled. You'll drive back to Cairo and stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 5: Old Cairo Christian Landmarks & Transfer to El Minya
After breakfast, spend time exploring Christian sites in Old Cairo, including Coptic Cairo, the Hanging Church, the Cave Church of St. Sergius, and the St. Simon Monastery located on the El-Mokattam Hill. Later, you'll travel by private air-conditioned bus to El-Menya. The evening and the rest of the day are yours to do as you like.
Day 6: Gabal El Tair – Holy Family Mountain
After breakfast, visit Gabal El Tair mountain, where Jesus allegedly stopped a large stone from falling onto the Holy Family's boat, leaving his palm print on the rock. Then you'll see St. Mary's Church and Monastery, also known as the Cave Church, where an altar remains in the cave where the Family stayed.
Day 7: Assiout & El Muharraq Monastery
After breakfast, head to Assiout and travel to the Monastery of El Muharraq at Qosqam Mountain. You'll visit the church of the Holy Virgin, where the Holy Family stayed for six months and some days, believed to be the first church established anywhere. Return to Assiout for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Dronka Monastery – Return Journey of the Holy Family
Travel to the Monastery of Dronka at Assiout's mountain. You'll see the cave where the Holy Family stayed for a time, marking the beginning of their return journey to Jerusalem.
Day 9: Return to Cairo
After breakfast, you'll travel by private air-conditioned bus back to Cairo. Once you arrive, you'll check into your hotel for the night.
Day 10: Departure from Cairo
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Cairo airport for your flight home.
